Glad you liked the porthole! It’s all done now, so I need to post some finished pictures, but I’m behind on blogging. My husband’s a longtime sailor—been on passages and had boats. I do like sailing, but am not as experienced at it. He turned me on to Latitude. It’s such a great magazine. We always make time to go down to the harbor around the beginning of the month to get a copy. It helps keep the dream alive to someday have a boat or spend more time on one at least, but right now our hands have been full with life on land. Well, let us know if you’re coming through SC again. We’d be happy to give you a ride to the grocery store if you need it.

Hi Dori, I remember you. That porthole of your is enought to make a sailor jealous (I checked out your blog). Are you into sailing there in Santa Cruz…is that why you read Lattitude? I stopped in the harbor there on the way up the coast…great place to sail and surf. Cheers, Clark

I just read your article in Latitude 38. I went to high school with you! Not sure if you remember me (last name was Morchower). I don’t meet that many people with your life experience, so I’ve always remembered you. I think we had English together. I was very excited to read about what you’ve been doing. Amazing!! I am looking forward to reading more on your blog. I’m glad to hear you’re doing well, and made it through all those harrowing experiences. I’m in the Bay area now too (Santa Cruz).
